Grammar.
A fast, private grammar and spelling check that runs entirely in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
How it works
Most grammar checkers send every word you write to their servers. This one does not. The engine is compiled to WebAssembly and runs inside your browser, so the checking happens on your machine and nothing is uploaded. Paste a draft, press Check grammar, and each issue appears with its category, the surrounding context, and clickable suggestions you can apply.
What to expect
- The engine downloads once on first use (a few seconds), then runs offline and feels instant.
- Suggestions are applied to the text box and the draft is re-checked.
- It catches grammar and spelling, the mechanics, not voice or information gain.
Powered by Harper. Grammar checking uses Harper, an open-source engine from Automattic, under the Apache-2.0 license. A clean grammar check does not mean the writing reads as human, which is what the voice score measures.
