A letter to the salon owner whose best clients still book like it’s 2009

How to put the salon on the phone they already carry.

They want the same stylist. They want the same color. They do not want to hunt the booking link in their camera roll. We take the site you already run, put it on iOS or Android — or both — and submit it in under 7 days. One store is $1,750. Both are $2,500. There is no charge on this form.

Dear salon owner,

A no-show is not a mystery. It is a person who meant to confirm, lost the text, and assumed you would understand. The chair still sat empty. The color still took time. The day still had a hole in it.

A website is a destination they have to remember. An icon is a habit. If the next cut depends on an Instagram bio, you are competing with whoever is already one thumb away — not a better colorist. A closer phone.

That is the whole problem. The rest of this letter is what to do about it.

The leak

They book the stylist. They should not have to hunt the salon.

The Instagram link in bio is a scavenger hunt. The “book now” text gets buried. The formula is in your notes. The client is in traffic, trying to remember whether they were Tuesday at 4 or Thursday at 3.

A store listing is a place in the operating system. Book the chair. Confirm the time. Push when it is useful — a last-minute opening with their person, a reminder the night before so the chair is not a gamble. Same salon. Same booking. Same name on the window.

Clients do not grade your booking app. They grade whether they can get their person without a back-and-forth.

The work

You don’t need a salon-tech stack. You need a listing for the chairs you already run.

If they can book on the website, they can book on a phone. Same stylists. Same services. Same name. On iOS, Android, or both, in under 7 days. You are not becoming a software company. You are putting an icon where the client already is.

The salons that wait for a custom native build are often still DMing appointment times in year three. The fastest path is to list the site you already run. Then you iterate. Shipping is the strategy. The store is the channel.

How it works

Here is the work, with nothing hidden.

You send the salon website. You choose one store or both. We build, submit, and keep the listing in good standing. There is no 80-page plan. If it runs in a browser, we can put it on a phone.

  1. 01

    Send the website

Your name, your email, and the URL. Note whether you want iOS or Android, or both.

  2. 02

    We build and submit

iOS, Android, or both from the first week. Typical time to a submitted listing is under 7 days.

  3. 03

    Go live, and stay live

App Store Management + Code Updates is $99 for one store, $150 for both. Staying listed is the job.

If you want to see it on a phone first, request a preview. I send it within 24 hours. No charge.

Who you write to

I have been doing this work for founders since 2007.

There is no account manager. You write to me, and I write back. I reply from dk@701am.com, usually the same day.

Sincerely,

The order

Two prices. Nothing else to decode.

You are paying to ship a listing of the site you already run — not to invent a company. If we cannot list it, you owe nothing.

One store
iOS or Android
$1,750to ship

Then $99 · App Store Management + Code Updates

  • Built from the site you already run
  • You choose iOS or Android
  • Submitted in under 7 days
Start with one store
Most owners pick this
iOS + Android
$2,500to ship both

Then $150 · App Store Management + Code Updates

  • The same site, on both stores
  • App Store and Google Play
  • Submitted in under 7 days
List both stores

Your name, email, and URL. There is no charge on this form. I will tell you if we can list it.

If you are unsure, send the website anyway. I write from dk@701am.com.

Before you send it

The questions people ask. Answered in full.

Will this replace our booking software?

No. We wrap the site clients already use. Same chairs. Same stylists. Same booking. We do not rip out the system at the desk. Typical time from the URL to a submitted listing is under 7 days.

Do I pay on this form?

No. Send your name, email, and the salon website. I reply from dk@701am.com. If we proceed, one store is $1,750 to ship, then $99 App Store Management + Code Updates. Both stores are $2,500, then $150.

Can I see mine on a phone first?

Yes. Send the URL. I wrap the site and send you the preview within 24 hours. No charge for that either.

Who do I talk to?

Me. David Krug. There is no account manager. I have been shipping for founders since 2007.

Other letters

I wrote this out for a few kinds of businesses.

See all of them — or read the letter for dentists, doctors, or spas.

The next appointment should not live in a text thread.

Send the salon website. Choose one store or both. There is no charge on the form. I will tell you if we can list it.

P.S. If the chair is the business, the home screen is how you protect it. Request a preview — I send yours within 24 hours. Request a preview.
