They are not a cost reduction strategy
Steve Pastor said it cleanly. The companies that hire well in the Philippines are not shopping for cheaper people. They are shopping for operators.

The payroll is lower. That is true. It is also the least interesting true thing about an EA or a support lead in the Philippines. If you hire for the discount, you get a discount. If you hire for the work, you get the work, and the discount comes along because the market is the market.
The bar does not move
We filter for written English, work samples, and the thing they will own by week four. Most people never reach you. You meet three. That is the product. The country is how we find them, not an excuse to lower the seat.
Overnight is a feature
The Philippines is a long-term remote market: English as a working language, overnight coverage, a bench that can actually scale. That is not a loophole. It is a labor market with professionals in it.
